Micah watches Nathaniel's eyes close, and slides into bed between him and Anita, kissing his Nimir-Ra's shoulder as he settles down on his back, one arm over her, the other over Nathaniel. Sometimes the metaphysical hijinks of this world are more than enough for him.
But if it eventually makes his Pard--his family--happier, he'll deal with the oddity.
