Her comment surprises him, at least, as much as he is ever surprised. He decides to himself that, regardless, he does not need to go quite that far next time, but it is good to know that she will not mind him taking more than strictly necessary.
Jean-Claude doesn't need to sleep, but he does drowse quite happily beside her for some time before he has to make his appearance at Guilty Pleasures. He doesn't wake Anita when he leaves the bed, merely gives her a gentle kiss and tucks a stuffed penguin (that she had left here some while ago) under her arm.
This, he decides as he leaves, is going to be a good night.
