Incubus Dreams - October 22nd

Anita is sitting on the bed, legs folded indian-style, and she stares at the pair sitting on the couch. Both Asher and Jean-Claude look utterly at ease, faces blank, bodies relaxed. If she didn't know them better, she'd say they were casually waiting to have an everyday discussion about the weather.

But their careful expressions and relaxed positions speak volumes for their worry and discomfort.

"You can both stop looking like I'm about to execute one of you," she says, trying for a smile. "I promise, it's not that bad."

Sore areas of her body are instantly soothed by the hot water. A little rearranging and soon Asher is between Jean-Claude's legs with his back to Jean-Claude's chest, and Anita is between Asher's legs with her back to his chest. It's her subtle reminder to them both that... they can touch.

She relaxes against Asher, feeling warm and heavy and a little lightheaded. "That really was amazing," she says.

"I am glad you think so," Jean-Claude says, reaching around Asher to stroke Anita's thighs. "It certainly was for me as well." He lays back, resting his head against the edge of the tub, letting the water and the closeness soothe the tense muscles and nervous thoughts.

Asher says nothing, tilting his head to kiss Jean-Claude's jaw, tightening his grip gently, hugging Anita. He can think of nothing to say that will adequately express how he feels, nothing to give Anita and Jean-Claude save his affection.

Anita thinks this is by far the best ending they could have hoped for in their wildest dreams. It could have wound up being so much worse.

Yes, there are things she'll need to think on, digest, decisions she'll need to make... conversations she'll need to have. But, on the whole, Anita is content. She refuses to feel ashamed, no matter what the niggling voice in the back of her head wants her to feel. She loves Jean-Claude. She loves Asher. They love her. They love each other.

There is nothing, she decides, wrong with what they've done or what they will do in the future.
