Anita's in luck. It only takes two rings before Richard picks up, a almost distracted, "Hello?" She'll have his full attention when he finishes jotting down the note in his head for the lesson plan in front of him. He just didn't want to forget it.

"Hey," Anita says, a smile curving her lips as her eyes avert to the steering wheel. "It's me. You busy?"

He can't help the smile that pulls at his face, "Not at all." Note finished, he closes the lesson plan and focuses on Anita. "Did you want to come over?"

"I can pick up some food," she says. "Some Chinese, maybe? We can eat and... and talk."

Damn all this talking. She doesn't like the talking, even if she knows it's necessary.

"Chinese sounds good," and the talking has him curious. "I may even have some coffee around here for you."

He might have even bought the brand he remembers her liking. Since things had been going better between them recently.

Anita laughs softly.

"Sounds perfect. I'll be there in about half an hour?"

She's actually looking forward to seeing him, and she's impatient to be there already.

"Great. I'll be here waiting," he answers. The smile clear in his voice before hanging up so he can clean up a little, namely any school work that might be laying around.

He'll have the coffee brewing by the time she gets to his place.

Anita hangs up and starts the car, heading to Panda Express. It takes only ten minutes for them to get the order together, and another ten before she's pulling up in Richard's driveway. She sits there a moment, staring at the warmly lit house, and then shakes herself.

Grabbing the food, she hops out of the Jeep, locks it, and head up to the door, rapping three times. It's been too long since she'd done this sort of thing with Richard, brought food and conversation.

Conversation she's hoping won't turn into an argument.

Aside from getting the coffee brewing for Anita, Richard has gotten out plates and silverware and set them out on the counter. Something to add to the to do to keep idle. He's curious what she wants to talk to him about.

It took a bit for him to not be just standing in the doorway when he'd heard the car pull in. Though the door opens pretty soon after she knocks, Richard offering a smile as he stands to the side so she can come in. "Hey, Anita."

Anita smiles at him, holding up the take away bag.

"Schezuan beef, beef teriyaki, and sweet and sour chicken," she declares. "Even made sure to ask for some of those fried donuts for dessert."

His smile grows at that declaration, "Sounds and smells delicious." He's glad she's remembered his favorite too.

The door is closed behind her. Richard's arms wrap around her waist from behind before she can get too far into the house, head dipping to nuzzle her throat a little.

A please hum lilts up from Anita as she closes her eyes and tilts her head to encourage his nuzzling.

"I'm not the appetizer, Richard," she murmurs.

Richard gives a content sound at the scent and feel of her, smiling into her skin. At her words he bites, soft and teasing. "No, you're more like dessert," he murmurs quietly before raising his head from her throat.

He hasn't really made a move to let her go just yet though.

"I brought donuts, remember?" she teases. "Food will get cold."

Anita reluctantly pulls away from Richard and heads for the set table.

"Cold Chinese food is unappetizing, even for a wolf."

The wrinkle of his nose, whether seen or not, just proves she's right. Cold Chinese food is bad, plus it never reheats the same as fresh cooked.

He follows her easily, "Donuts can always be saved for later?" There's only a slight detour to grab a mug of coffee made just the way she likes it and a mug of tea for himself.

Anita laughs, pulling out the cartons of food and rice.

"It does my ego so much good to know you'd pass up donuts to have sex with me," she says with a grin.

He sets the mugs down in front of respective places, grinning back at her. He snags one of the rice cartons and empties most of it onto his plate.

"Well you are more delicious than any dessert," he murmurs with a hungry look.

Anits sits down, spooning some rice onto her plate along with chicken and sauce.

"Eat first. Fuck later," she says with another laugh. "You need to get your priorities straight."

He grabs the schezuan beef and adds it to the rice on his plate, sitting down.

"I haven't actually moved back behind you, have I?" He asks with a grin. It means his priorities are just fine. He takes a bite of food with a sound that says it's really good before he asks, "So how have you been recently?"

Anita sighs around a bite of chicken.

"About as well as you could expect." She glances at Richard. "Damian's been feeding the ardeur in Asher's place, and Jason in Nathaniel's."

Best to be honest about everything up front, right? It's the only way to keep their relationship, and she desperately wants to keep it.

Richard nods, an idle motion as he takes that information in. Honestly helps. He's unsure why he's fairly alright with her sleeping with Jason while Nathaniel pricks at something under his skin, though.

"And the whole thing with your leopard, any of that getting sorted out?" He cares not so much because of Nathaniel but because of how it affects her.

"I've talked with Damian, Jason, Demeter, and Jean-Claude," she says slowly, poking at her rice. "They've helped me realize I am punishing them for the relationship, not the lying, which is pretty much what you said the night it all happened."

He eats a couple forkfuls of beef and rice, brow raised a little as he watches her. There's the faintest of nods, because he knows what he said that night.

"And what are you going to do now that you've come to this realization?" Because it's taken four conversations, apparently, for the point to finally sink in deep enough that Anita will deal with it.

"I'll talk with them. I'll... apologize," she says, popping another piece of chicken in her mouth. "I miss Nathaniel. I miss Asher. I know I've hurt them, that I punished them for something I shouldn't have, and I will see if they will forgive me."

Her eyes lift to him.

"What do you think?"

Richard nods, "I think it's a start." Realizing she was wrong and apologizing is always a good start. But at least with this, it's only a start.

"What about their relationship? Are you going to let them have it?" Apologizing only got a person so far.
